Our Leadership Team

Jason Kuncl

Co-Owner & Master Electrician

Jason’s career in the electrical industry began at an early age. In 1988, at just 13 years old, he took a summer job in the electrical trade driven by a strong interest in electricity and a desire to learn the skills needed to one day wire his own home. What started as a summer job quickly developed into a passion. Throughout his teenage years, Jason continued working in the electrical field during summers and weekends. After graduating from high school, he decided to pursue the trade as a full-time career.

In 1994, Jason began working in the electrical industry on a full-time basis. Motivated by a strong desire to learn and excel in his profession, he enrolled in an electrical apprenticeship program. At that time, apprenticeship schooling was not yet a state requirement in Arkansas, and many apprentices did not pursue formal classroom training unless required by their employer. Jason’s commitment to continuous improvement set him apart. He supplemented his education by studying electrical literature and seeking knowledge from experienced professionals throughout his career.

Jason became a licensed electrician in the State of Arkansas in 1996 and continued expanding his education beyond the requirements of the trade. Over the years, he has completed extensive training in Plasti-Bond, Arc Flash safety, NFPA 70E standards, CPR and First Aid, OSHA 10-Hour and OSHA 30-Hour safety programs, PLC programming, electrical motors, soft starters, variable frequency drives (VFDs), motor controls, grounding systems, electronics, solar photovoltaic systems, and hazardous locations.

Jason is married to his wife, Cristy, and together they have a son, Gavin. While he enjoys golfing and bowling in his spare time, his greatest priority is spending quality time with his family. Whether at home or enjoying activities together, he values every opportunity to create lasting memories with those closest to him.

Today, Jason holds Master Electrician licenses in multiple states, including Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, California, and Nevada. At Axis Electric, he plays a key leadership role and shares responsibilities for project management, estimating, and the successful installation of electrical projects. His decades of experience, technical expertise, and commitment to excellence continue to contribute to the ongoing success of Axis Electric and its customers.
